Nota Bene: Please note that HMRC require reauthorisation after 18 months. If the system is saying you need authorisation you probably need to reauthorise. That is on the ManageAuthorisations page. If you have an ASA you need to reauthorise that after 18 months.

Service Down:
We will be upgrading our server in the near future (probably when MTD is down). We have had to take our server down temporarly a few times to prepare, but now we should not have to do that again other than a few minutes when swapping over.

Warning 6/11/26 There are some issues with the DNS records for the HMRC server, this causes intermittent errors between our server and HMRC. Our system will tell you when this happens. If the error occurs try it again in 5 minutes. We will try to get this resolved, but it is the sort of issue that may need action from HMRC which may not happen quickly. (Tech Details: the TTL on their A records is set to only 1 minute.)

For (further) information about Making Tax Digital down time see here
Note changes with MTD ITSA The start date on MTD ITSA periods is the start of the tax year for all of the periods because of the way cumulative submissions are made.
